Are you looking for more personal support to unlock or develop your creativity? I offer individual coaching sessions for people (like you?!) who are:
Yearning to create
Wanting to play, explore ideas, find new perspectives, and ‘unleash an inner artist’
Hoping to ‘do things differently’ and bring new creative approaches to everyday work
Looking for help to develop fledgling ideas and make them reality
Feeling stuck.
What can you expect from online coaching? Coaching gives you more intensive and personalised support than group sessions can offer, and focuses on your own priorities and needs. I will help you to set goals for the coaching sessions and beyond, ask you lots of questions, challenge you, and encourage you to challenge yourself... But you can also expect to laugh and have fun! You have time and space to explore ideas, think about what you want, and try new approaches - with my support. I am passionate about ‘sparking creativity’ and hope to share that passion with you, making you more enthusiastic and confident, and clear about your next steps to a more creative life.
How does it work? We have an initial 20-30 minute online session to see if we suit each other - this is free. We then agree an initial course of 3-6 sessions, and pre-arrange our meeting times (usually about a fortnight apart). In the first of these sessions, we talk about your hopes and goals, and agree the overall shape of our work together. Each session lasts approximately 45 mins, and includes structured conversation and activities related to your goals. The best sessions can sometimes take off in unexpected directions!
How much does it cost? Costs vary. The standard fee for a session is £75-100 (depending on the number booked), but I offer discounts for people who need them, and always welcome additional donations from people who can afford to pay more to help subsidise others.
What I bring I have 25 years’ experience of supporting people to learn, create, be brave and achieve their goals. I have been a manager, teacher, trainer, tutor, development specialist in local government and national organisations, and a facilitator specialising in collaboration and partnership working. Of course, I set up Spark Creativity single-handedly, so I know all about the challenges of self-employment and enterprise! I have been a maverick and community activist, creating change in communities and organisations. And I am an artist myself - working in many media but especially with textiles, found objects and illustration, so I bring all sorts of perspectives, tools and techniques to help spark your creativity. I do not have a formal coaching qualification but I do have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education specialising in adult and community learning, and training in ‘coaching as a leadership style’.
