Creative approaches that help you understand complexity and build collaboration
Alongside my own creative practice and business, I also undertake a small number of consultancies each year. Find me on LinkedIn. Recent and ongoing work includes:
‘What We Know Now’ - thematic analysis of the impact of Covid-19 on people with long term health and care needs, for National Voices
I have a patchwork of passions and an unusual mix of professional experience across public, private and third sectors. I worked freelance in the ‘noughties’ and again since April 2019, and before that was a local government senior manager and national participation strategy lead at NHS England. I am a good choice if your project or challenge needs a mixture of creativity and hard-headed analytic skills. My experience and interests include:
* Social research in practice - especially evidencing impacts of social action/participation on health, independence and wellbeing. * Coproduction, involvement and community engagement - helping organimations make it real. * Partnerships and collaboration - successful delivery and development across public and third sectors. * Enabling social action: innovating, seeding, sustaining, trouble-shooting, embedding. * Sparking creativity. * Visual artist and story-maker, working with a range of media. See Insta: @thisfionaweir . * Training and facilitation. * Managing and leading complex/multiple work streams - including: leading national statutory assessment of CCGs' participation; supporting health/care partnership with community engagement in strategic transformation; developing and leading £1.2M investment programme, social prescribing service, VCSE capacity building programme.
